The dawn of a new era… Following on from sold out shows at the Notting Hill Arts Club earlier this year, Funk Royale finally settles in to the first night of it’s residency at Where The Wild Things Are: On the 4th Friday of every other month starting November 23rd. Expect jump-up big time party anthems of the past and future… forget moody mo’fo’s and bad flows…

Jafar is our guest DJ for the night and needs little introduction… The Mulletover co-founder has worked under various guises from Kwaito to Artizan Music and just like Tigger has more bounce to the ounce behind the decks… expect one-off’s, remixes, knob-twiddling and a load a bass.

The Funk Royale residents will be cold rocking the party as ever… taking you from Fleetwood Mac to Shakatak and back… and making you bop like Lionel… all night long baby! Toby One will be flying in from Lagos, Portugal for the night, slipping out of his wetsuit into the zoot suit for y’all!

The FR house band will be in full effect with Laura O’Connor on vocals, guest MC TB (aka T Bear; The beast from da east) on the mic, Deepsax on brass and D.A.T.A on bongos – 8 souls in all coming together for another notorious freestyle jam.

Last but not least, special mention has to be given to our all star girl crew Dem Bones kicking the night off on the decks. Often described as Mel and Kim on acid we’ll let you discover them for yourselves…. But come early or miss DJ’s Hip Bone & Fun-E Bone getting into the groove, so you can dance!
